Contracts (Basic): View History/Audit Trail

This page is for TaxDome Pro users only. Upgrade at any time!

You can always see the events that have taken place with a contract. TaxDome’s audit log allows you to find out when someone...

  • ...created a contract.
  • ...viewed a contract.
  • ...signed a contract.
  • ...resent a contract.
  • ...made changes to contract.

To view a contract’s history, go to Contracts in the client’s profile, click on the three-dots icon to the far right of the contract’s name, or inside the contract itself, then click Audit trail.

Here, find the definitions for what appears in the Audit Trail window:

  • USER: the first and last name and email address of the user who has accessed the contract. If the contract was created automatically, you’ll see This contract was created by automation instead.

  • EVENT: what has taken place with the contract.

  • SERVER TIME: when the event took place on TaxDome in UTC.

  • CLIENT TIME: when the event took place in the user’s location in UTC. The difference between UTC and the user’s location time is also displayed.

  • IP ADDRESS: the IP address of the user who made changes.

  • BROWSER: the browser used when the event took place.

  • OS: the user‘s operating system.
